Build Day was incredible, what a fantastic turn out! We can't thank our captains and volunteers enough for making this day more than we could have hoped for. Our construction manager Mark Smith was so great to work with, he was patient and had such great spirit inspite of some glitches and alot of rain during prep week.
We will be posting picture of our successful day hopefully tomorrow.
We would also like to thank the family of George McLeod for coming out and spending the day with us. We are honor to have our playground dedicated to such an outstanding person who dedicated himself to his country and community.
We would also like to thank Ian Hill and Let Them Be Kids for the opportunity to make a 4 year project into a 4 month project. Thanks so much for believing in our community and helping to bring us back together. Also giving us this beautiful space to gather with our friends and family. You are all so great to work with!!

Parking

Due to the number of volunteers and limited parking right around the school we are going to park everyone over at the Alder Flats Hall.  If you have tools you are bringing to the build day feel free to drop them off and then park over at the hall to save packing them.

Things are coming together very well for the playground project. Volunteers, tools and equipment are coming from everywhere and we (the playground committee) couldn't be happier that things are going so great!!

Thanks again Alder Flats/Buck Lake, this project wouldn't be happening if it weren't for you!!

As you can see we are doing very well in our fundraising efforts and its all thanks to our community and their big hearts...

We are now to the point in the project where we need to start to think about where all of you who volunteered want to help on the day of the build.  For those of you who haven't got a chance to volunteer yet please do so as soon as possible.  Sign-up is important for us be able to place volunteers where you are most valuable and where your interests lie and also to try and estimate how much food and beverage we will need for the day.
